Detail and Fabrication
In the Detail and Fabrication Concentration, we explore architecture as a creative process of making, with an emphasis on experimentation with materials and contemporary methods of fabrication.
M.Arch students exploring organic building materials.
Detail and Fabrication
Courses in this area combine conceptual development of details with hands-on material experimentation. Students are introduced to methods that help resolve the total design environment, especially the design of human-scale elements. Detail and Fabrication encourages students to make a positive and lasting contribution to the built environment by thinking about large and small-scale interventions simultaneously.
