Helping sick children helps us all
So much of the vital work we do in caring for sick children and their families would simply not be possible without community support.
The importance of philanthropy
Our hospitals have been built on a long tradition of fundraising and community support
Donations from individuals, community groups and businesses, along with the enormous contribution of our volunteers, enhances our services, allows for the purchase of new technology and helps us to provide family-focused care. Our hospitals also accept donations of new toys still in packaging that can be given to patients ranging in age from newborns to late teens.
Philanthropy plays a unique role in health care. It's about coming together as communities to create solutions and pursue innovation that cannot be met by the public sector alone. We are committed to ethical philanthropic practices which you can read about in our
Ethical Donation Principles document
