Residence Life
Your Home Away from Home
At YU we believe there are great benefits to living incommunity.  Living on campus
is an important aspect of the college where students have the opportunity to grow
socially and spiritually, as well as academically. The mission of Residence Life at
York University is to provide a healthy community environment supportive of each student's
need for living and desires for personal growth.
The university offers several housing options, all focused on providing a safe space
to build community. We offer traditional dormitory style, suite-style or apartment-style
living. By living on campus, you can learn to communicate effectively with a diverse
range of people, make lifelong friendships, become more independent and discover new
insights about yourself and others. Our residence hall staff, consisting of nearly
20 resident assistants and 2 resident coordinators, are trained and passionate about
helping you make the most of your time in college, navigate challenges that arise
and grow during your time on campus.
