School Governance
St Aloysius College is governed by
Mercy Education Limited (Mercy Education).
Mercy Education Limited (Mercy Education) is an incorporated ministry of Mercy Ministry Companions (MMC). MMC is responsible for ensuring, as faithfully as Catherine McAuley and her sisters, that the Catholic identity, charism and spirituality of schools previously under the stewardship of the Institute of Sisters of Mercy of Australia and Papua New Guinea (ISMAPNG), thrive into the future. The existence of Mercy Education Limited gives strength, support and solidarity to each of the member Mercy schools and its community.

Advisory Council
The St Aloysius College Advisory Council provides advice and support to the Principal and staff of the College.
Members of the Advisory Council are valued for their wisdom and the contribution they make to the functioning of the College and work together to ensure that the Mercy ethos underpins the life of the College. The Advisory Council consists of up to 12 members, appointed by the Principal in consultation with Mercy Education Limited.
Sub-committees are appointed for specific tasks. The Advisory Council appoints a Finance Committee, which reports to the Advisory Council.
The College Advisory Council members together with Maja Tongerie and Viviana Graney (First Nations Student Support staff) visiting The Wardlis in the Mitchell Courtyard. This installation provides a visible and vibrant acknowledgment of country in the heart of the College. The project, created in collaboration with local First Nations artist Cedric Varcoe, symbolises our commitment to recognising and celebrating our First Nations students and their families.
