INTERVIEWING NOW FOR PREP 2027
St Therese’s Catholic Primary School is dedicated to equipping young people for the challenges of tomorrow’s world by providing an education that aligns with the values of the gospels and the teachings of the Catholic Church. In order to achieve this educational vision, we have a clear understanding of the kind of adults our students need to become.
At St Therese’s, our approach to learning and teaching is consistent and effective. We aim to:
Excite and empower learners, encouraging them to embrace and positively influence our ever-changing world, drawing inspiration from the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Foster a safe and stimulating learning environment where each child, with the support of engaged and caring parents, has the opportunity to reach their full potential.
Our school revolves around the core values of Learning, Love, Community, and Respect, which are exemplified by Jesus. These values serve as the foundation of our educational philosophy.
In partnership with parents, every staff member at St Therese’s is committed to enhancing the well-being and learning outcomes of all students. We follow the guidance of the Diocesan School Effectiveness Framework, which helps us identify, understand, and implement improved learning and teaching practices. We prioritize evidence-based teaching strategies that have been proven effective through research and practical application.
In addition to the
Diocesan School Effectiveness Framework
, we also rely on the
Diocesan Learning Framework
to guide the work of both learners and teachers. This framework provides a comprehensive approach to education that supports the growth and development of our students.
By upholding these principles and frameworks, St Therese’s Catholic Primary School aims to provide a holistic education that prepares our students to thrive in a rapidly changing world while remaining grounded in the teachings of the Catholic faith.

Our school St Therese’s sits on sacred land which holds connection to our ancestors and their histories. We respect, honour and embrace all cultures across this land that we work, pray, learn and grow on.
St Therese’s respects our Traditional Owners of this land, the Gimuy Walubarra Yidinji and Yirrganydji people, who hold the knowledge of these lands and waterways. We pay respects to their elders and all elders past, present and emerging. We journey together inspired by Christ embracing faith, life and learning.
(Authored by our 2023 Year 6 First Nation Students and our Indigenous Liaison Officer Leanne Wanders.)
