Hear what they say
The relational aspect between the teachers and students at HCA had the biggest impact on me. It made me want to come back and be a part of the same dynamic.
Kayla (Adams) Lazzara
Class of 2010
The thing that impacted me the most was being a part of the volleyball team those first few years after David Lockwood worked to become part of the IHSA. We worked hard during our season and a lot played club volleyball to become more competitive for our school. Our dedication and hard work laid the groundwork for athletes that came after us. It was such a humbling experience that changed my life.
Erica (Manusos) McGuire
Class of 2013
Thinking back to my high school experience I truly knew that my teachers cared about me. Additionally, the close friendships I developed with my classmates are still friendships I lean on to this day!
Zachary Harbaugh
Class of 2014
I learned how to interface and interact with people in a way that is both professional and personable.
Andrew Huston
Class of 2016
HCA helped me build a deep spiritual foundation before coming to college. I grew more in the 3 years there than I had in all years combined leading up to attending HCA.
Hayleigh (Milholland) Bult
Class of 2017
Through Harvest I was able to learn how to manage my time and how to love God, and love others. While I was at harvest I learned how to serve and work hard. Looking back, it is cool to see where I was and compare it to where I am now and see the growth that I have had in my walk with Christ.
Jack Nohava
Class 2019
HCA provided the framework to allow me to stand up for my faith and view the world from a Biblical worldview. I am the man I am today because of the teachers that poured into me the 10 years that I attended HCA.
Dominik Olech
Class of 2018
I loved my school and have fond memories of the friendships I made with classmates and the relationships I formed with teachers. I valued the ability to participate in athletics and still reflect fondly on the support I gained in that arena. The school spirit between 2012 and 2015 was so much fun, and I really do love those memories. I work with youth now who have little to nothing, and it makes me thankful for the opportunity I had to attend HCA.
Lindsey (Seals) Silver
Class of 2015
My time at HCA set me up for success not only for college, but in life. During my time at HCA, I had the opportunity to start programs, lead teams/groups, and be a part of many "firsts." The first sports teams, first student council...etc. This allowed me to grow in my leadership skills and also my ability to adapt to many situations. I am so grateful for my time at HCA and that I now get to help families make this important decision for their students.
Lauryn (Congemi) Miller
Class of 2011
HCA taught me that success has to be earned. I was constantly reminded how important trying in school mattered for college and the future.
Josh Peterson
Class of 2020
The teachers at HCA developed such personal and special relationships that it drove me to want to be a teacher as well!
Callie (Arosen) Strasser
Class of 2012
