iDeate 2025 – Day 1: Design Ethos – An Experience Week Inauguration
The inaugural day of
iDeate 2025 – Design Ethos: An Experience Week
, presented by the
Design and Innovation Center (DIC), School of Planning and Architecture, Vijayawada
, was successfully held on
27th October 2025
at the
Krishnaveni Sabhagaar Auditorium, SPAV
.
The event commenced with the
Lighting of the Lamp
followed by the
National Song
and a captivating
welcome dance performance
. The inaugural addresses were delivered by
Prof. Dr. Anil Kumar Chilakapati
, DIC–SPAV Coordinator;
Prof. Dr. Srinivas Daketi
, Head, Department of Architecture; and
Prof. Dr. Ramesh Srikonda
, Director, SPAV, who served as the Chief Patron. The distinguished
Chief Guest, Shri Madapaka Venkata Raghu Garu
, an acclaimed cinematographer, director, and Oscar Jury Member (India), inspired the audience with his insightful words on the creative journey of design and cinematic expression.
The first session, themed
“Empathy & Design,”
featured two thought-provoking talks.
Shri M. V. Raghu Garu
delivered a session on visual storytelling and the poetic power of cinema, followed by
Ms. T. V. Aishwarya
, an entrepreneur, artist, filmmaker, and TEDx speaker, who shared her inspiring journey of resilience, accessibility, and empowerment through art and design.
Post-lunch, a hands-on
workshop titled “Out of Syllabus: Designing the Self”
was facilitated by
Ms. Tanya Prasad
, Product Designer at IBM and Founder of Syllabus Foundation, focusing on emotional well-being, self-awareness, and design empathy. The day also included an engaging talk by
Mr. Manoj Madhu
, Architect and Founder of Monsoon Collective, who discussed the intersection of architecture, technology, and sustainable design thinking.
The day concluded with a
film screening
at the Krishnaveni Sabhagaar Auditorium, marking an inspiring end to the first day of
iDeate 2025
and setting the tone for an immersive and insightful week ahead.
