Campus Climate Team
The Campus Climate Team collaborates with individuals and groups to create a more
welcoming environment for every member of the communities that call Ferris home.
Ferris Equity Initiative
The University is partnering with EAB to create the Ferris Equity Initiative (FEI),
an initiative which brings together students, administrators, advisors, faculty, and
other staff in a collaborative network to holistically support students across the
college journey.
2016-2021 Diversity and Inclusion Plan
The University wide Diversity and Inclusion Plan represents more than a year of work
by dozens of people. The Plan is a living document--new initiatives can and will be
added in the years to come.
Ferris Cares
Ferris Cares provides emergency assistance to current students facing food or housing
insecurity which would otherwise jeopardize their ability to stay in school.

Disability and Accessibility Resource Center (DARC) is committed to promoting student
access and success. We facilitate access to students with disabilities by determining
reasonable accommodations and working with campus partners to create an inclusive
environment.

The GEAR UP/College Day Program's mission is to provide an opportunity for underrepresented
students to discover first hand the potential of a college education and to expose
students to the information, knowledge and skills they need to complete high school
and prepare themselves adequately for college entry and success.

The LGBTQ+ Resource Center serves to foster a supportive environment that is open,
safe, and inclusive for students of all sexual orientations, gender identities, and
gender expressions. The Center’s objective is to celebrate and affirm LGBTQ+ people,
identities, and communities; to support the development of LGBTQ+-sensitive and -accountable
personal and professional skills among the Ferris community; and to to support and
advocate for, and with, members of the LGBTQ+ community for an equitable, inclusive
culture at Ferris State University that celebrates and values LGBTQ+ people.

The Veteran Resource Center at Ferris State University is run by Veterans for Veterans.
The VRC is a centralized resource department, easily accessible and widely available
to all veterans - active duty, reserve guard, separated, retired and their dependents.
