IPR Cell
The Intellectual Property cell (IPR Cell) of NSSCE is established with financial and technical
support of Kerala State Council for Science Technology and Environment (KSCSTE), Govt.
of Kerala in the year 2010-2011. The main objective of the cell is to create awareness on the
importance of creativity and innovation which leads to patents among the budding engineers
in particular and the general community of the neighbouring regions of this college. Kerala
State Council for Science Technology and Environment (KSCSTE), Govt. of Kerala has
evaluated the activities of all the 23 IPR cells in various colleges and Universities in Kerala
for the past 5 years and
selected IPR cell of NSS College of Engineering as the best IPR
Cell in Kerala for the year 2023. We have received this award in 2017 also. The award
was received by Dr. Vinod V, IPR Cell Coordinator, NSSCE from Dr. Saji Gopinath the
Hon’able Vice chancellor of Kerala Technological University at Trivandrum on
12/1/2024.
The appreciation is for the disseminating awareness of significance of IPR
among students, encouraging students to do innovative projects, scouting potential IP’s from
students, providing guidance to students on protecting intellectual citations and forwarding
eligible cases of IP protection to PIC/KSCSTE. We have received around 20 Patents and
several Innovation awards during the past 5 years. Awards Received in the field of
Innovation: Indian Automotive Technology Innovation Award, 2016, Innovation Leadership
