Main campus
Our main campus is in the heart of Lexington.
Visitor parking
Upper School:
The Lucy Bryans VanMeter Upper School with classrooms for grades 9-12, the Whitaker Family Atrium for gatherings, and smaller conference rooms for collaboration and quiet study
Green space:
Gathering area along Huston Alley next to the Upper School
Student parking:
The intersection of Huston Alley and North Martin Luther King Boulevard down from the Upper School, and also next to the gymnasium and Lower School
Parker House:
125 Constitution Street, the site of the Middle School art program
Duplex/Nurse’s Office:
Buildings 129 and 133 between Academy Alley and Constitution Street. In addition to the Nurse’s Office, the duplex houses the HOS office, Academic Services, and Technology.
Templeman Playground:
Lower and Middle School playground
Employee parking:
In the church lot next to Templeman Playground
City parking:
Park and walk-in spaces on North Limestone Street near the Front Circle campus entrance
Middle School:
The Headley-de Waal Building, with classrooms and science laboratories for grades 5-8, along with a glass-enclosed commons area (the Heidi H. Newman Commons)
Edward F. Simms Library:
Designed for middle and upper grades, features 24,000 volumes, a technology center, and the Karen Ulack Auditorium (KUA)
C.V. Whitney Gymnasium:
The site of athletic competitions and events
Front Circle:
The main entrance to the school campus and the site of Lower and Middle School drop-off and dismissal, as well as visitor parking
Old Sayre:
The jewel of the campus and home to Admissions, Advancement, Alumni, Business, and Communications
Preschool playground:
Designed for the youngest Spartans
Thomas A. Grunwald (TAG) Buttery:
Offering a variety of entrees and sides, including a salad bar, vegetarian options, and gluten-free foods. Middle School dances are held here, too. The Jasko Room on the lower level is a meeting space for PAC, coffees, clubs, and the Board of Trustees.
Spartan Shop:
Located in the lower level of the Buttery, the source for Sayre swag and gym uniforms. New in 2024, a mobile Spartan Shop is coming to Sayre events.
Lower School:
Ages 2 through fourth grade classrooms. The main level includes the Lower School library and the multi-purpose room, Lower School Limestone Commons (LSLC). The LSLC houses the Extended Day program. The second floor includes the Innovation Room and science and art classrooms.
Sayre Athletic Complex
The SAC is located 15 minutes from downtown on Canebrake Drive.
