About
We believe children learn best in an inclusive, creative, and nurturing environment that engages the whole child. Students here are active partners in their education, and learning is joyful.
Academics
Academics
From its inception, Burgundy has educated children in innovative ways. Our students learn by doing. The school community and its two campuses offer a nurturing atmosphere that inspire creativity through the arts and develop critical thinking skills with an integrated curriculum and hands-on projects.
Admission
Admission
Burgundy educates children from Junior Kindergarten through grade 8. The admission process begins in the fall prior to the year in which a student enrolls.

Community
Community
Burgundy doesn’t just refer to our school or our campuses. Burgundy is a beloved community.
The Burgundy Difference
Burgundy Difference
The Burgundy community is united by its commitment to creating a learning community that affirms children for who they are and where they are developmentally and that helps all our students realize their full potential as students and as people.
Giving
Giving
The Burgundy that our students and families love and enjoy today is the product of a handful of families doing together what none could have done individually: purchasing land, rehabilitating and raising buildings, hiring a professional faculty.

Strategic Plan
Strategic Plan
Our strategic plan is a community-developed “blueprint” published in 2017 and meant to be an enumeration of strategic school priorities and a guide for Board governance and leadership. The plan is considered to be a living document and one that can be flexible enough to respond to updated contexts. In 2021, the Board formally revisited the strategic plan and noted that the school has made meaningful progress on many strategies identified in the original plan. Symbols that appear in the strategies below indicate

Our strategic plan is comprised of three broad goal areas:
1. Prioritize our core value of diversity and equity to support an optimal learning environment and strongest community.
2. Support Burgundy’s research-based educational model with the best possible faculty, program, and facilities.
3. Safeguard our ability to serve families by strengthening the school’s long-term financial sustainability.
Our Diverse Community
Burgundy’s dynamic approach to learning is predicated upon a welcoming and diverse community where each child and their families feel connected and respected. Our community creates the foundation for learning and every wonderful thing that transpires at Burgundy.
We embrace Burgundy’s history and deep commitment to the core value of diversity and equity, with an equal welcome and fairness in all that Burgundy offers. Students learn that communities are strengthened by diversity, and appreciating differences is vital to creating a just, peaceful world.
By recruiting and sustaining a diverse student body, faculty-staff, and community, we strive to create the best environment to prepare all of our students for success in an increasingly dynamic and interconnected world. View our current progress

Our Dynamic Program
At Burgundy, learning is joyful, nurturing each child’s innate curiosity. Our campuses provide access to nature and unique spaces to explore, learn, and play.
In Burgundy’s progressive education model, teachers encourage intellectual autonomy, personal responsibility, and artistic creativity to help students develop critical thinking skills and find their own paths to understanding.
We honor the physical, emotional, social, and intellectual development of children, allowing growth to unfold at each child’s own pace. View our current progress
