UNN, is a federal university located in Nsukka, Enugu State,

The University was founded
by Nnamdi Azikiwe
and his colleagues
in 1955
, but
formally opened on 7 October 1960
. It is a convensional university and
has three campuses – Nsukka, Enugu and Ituku-Ozalla
.
The University of Nigeria is the first full-fledged indigenous and first autonomous university in Nigeria, modelled
after Michigan State University,  United States of America
. It
