We welcome all visitors. Please notify us in advance of any accommodations required for persons in your group.
Researchers who contact us in advance about their interests have the most successful visits; the more prepared we are for your visit, the more efficiently we can assist you.
To safeguard important materials, please leave all food and drink outside of the Research Room.
Hours
The State Archives is open to the public Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (excluding State Holidays).

100 N Stewart St
Carson City, NV 89701
The Nevada State Archives is located on the upper floor of the State Library & Archives building within the Capitol Complex. We recommend entering through the State Library and taking the stairs or elevator to the upper floor.
Parking
Free parking is available north of the Nevada State Library, Archives & Public Records on East Musser Street, and east of the Nevada Supreme Court building on South Stewart Street. A free parking garage is also available on the corner of 5th and South Stewart Streets.
The accessible entrance is on the east side of the building, notated by the letter H on the map.
