For many patients, imaging services are a key step in their health care journey. At William P. Clements Jr. University Hospital, we use the latest imaging technologies to quickly provide patients with an accurate diagnosis in a convenient and comfortable setting.
Our board-certified radiologists hold specialized certifications in their fields and our department is accredited by the American College of Radiology. We’re here to provide you with the most precise diagnosis possible so you and your physician can determine the best treatment plan.
Our Services
We offer a wide range of imaging technologies, from general imaging to specialized services, including:
Intraoperative magnetic resonance imaging (iMRI) system, in a hybrid operating room
Additional magnetic resonance imaging, including Philips 1.5 and 3.0 Tesla (3T) systems
High-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) imaging
Additional ultrasound/elastography capabilities, in four rooms, including Epiq 7, Vasculab (ABI machine), and GE Logiq E-9
Four SPECT/CT scanners, using the Siemens Symbia Intevo
Three neuro interventional suites
Twelve cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology and interventional imaging suites
Two hybrid cardiac operating and imaging suites
Two Gamma Knife suites
Two nuclear medicine suites
Six endoscopy suites
Digital radiography
Digital mobile radiography
Digital R&F fluoroscopy
Multipurpose digital imaging suite

Echocardiogram/stress test: Epiq 7C echocardiogram units, EKG units, and treadmill
Clements University Hospital provides both inpatient and outpatient imaging services, and specialty nursing support for all modality and special care needs. We also offer after-hours and Saturday service for additional convenience.
What to Expect
Your physician may order an imaging test to help diagnose or treat your condition. In the days leading up to your imaging appointment, you may be required to follow specific instructions such as fasting or avoiding medications. Please talk to your physician or nurse to find out how to prepare for your test.
On the day of your imaging appointment, you will meet with a technologist who specializes in your test. He or she will guide you through the test ensuring that your questions are answered and you are as comfortable as possible.
Following your test, your images will be read by a radiologist with specialized training. The radiologist will consult with your physician and we will follow up with you to discuss next steps.
