transfer credit
* for your prior college coursework and military experience.
*The University reserves the right to accept or deny credits according to the policies outlined on these transfer credit webpages. Actual time to completion will be based upon transfer credit evaluation and eligibility.

Select your desired academic program from our 200+ degrees and certificates. Use our program finder to compare programs or call us for help if you're not sure which program is right for you.

Apply Online
There is no fee to apply for
undergraduate or master's-level programs
.* Our online application takes just minutes to complete.
*A $100 fee is required for all doctoral applications.

Complete Admissions Requirements
After you submit your admissions application, review the
undergraduate
or
graduate
admissions ecampus tutorial and relevant tuition checklists (i.e.,
financial aid
). An admissions representative will walk you through the follow-up steps you need to get started.

Register for Courses
Our classes start monthly, so you can begin soon after being admitted to the University.
Preferred Military Rate
American Public University's Preferred Military Rate, which is $250/credit hour for undergraduate and master’s-level courses, is available to all U.S. active-duty servicemembers, National Guard members, Reservists, and their families, including parents, spouses, legal partners, siblings, and dependents.

Undergraduate or Master's-level Application or Transfer Credit Fees

Technology fee for all undergraduate courses. There is a technology fee of $85 for all master's-level courses.
The Preferred Military Rate is applied automatically for those who are eligible. The Preferred Military Rate supersedes all other university grants and special rates, and cannot be combined with any other special promotions. Please note that a technology fee applies to master’s-level courses.
