UNCSA and the Thomas S. Kenan Institute for the Arts present "Johnny Loves Johann," a new work led by Grammy-winning violinist and 2024 MacArthur Fellow Johnny Gandelsman. Carolina Performing Arts at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the Kenan Institute for the Arts serve as lead co-commissioners for the project, which unfolds as a vibrant and intimate conversation with Bach's music.
Professor and Assistant Dean Janna Levin appointed dean of UNCSA's Division of Liberal Arts
UNCSA has appointed Professor and Assistant Dean Janna Levin, Ph.D., as dean of the Division of Liberal Arts (DLA) effective July 1. Levin has been a member of the faculty at UNCSA since 2008 and currently serves as a professor of science.
