During the four year course, a candidate develops an understanding of the human body on the basis of medical science. Whereas during the training period of six months, candidates will gain practical knowledge. After completing Bachelor's in Physiotherapy, students will have many career opportunities. Programme Highlights Student gains enough experience enabling them to work independently in improving muscle strength, bone strength, recovering of body parts and operations. Physiotherapy is a branch of the Para-medical science that helps in management of various neuromuscular, skeleton and other system of the body. Physiotherapy is to prevent injuries, finding drug free techniques and helping people to always stay fit. Overall, the students will learn complete human body and the best practices to keep them fit. Physiotherapy means Physio-therapeutic system of medicine which includes examination, treatment, advice and instruction in cases of movement dysfunction, body malfunction, physical disorder, disability, healing and recovery from any neurological disorder and after surgical treatment therapy for early and faster recovery. It teaches us to stay fit and help in avoiding injuries. It aids in healing from trauma & disease physical and mental conditions using physical agents including exercise, mobilization, manipulation, mechanical and electrotherapy activity & devices or diagnosis treatment & prevention. It helps in making positive changes to the health and lifestyle of the people. Suitable for all ages, Physiotherapy aids in the treatment and rehabilitation of people with an array of health problems ranging right from mental health issues to sports injuries. According to NCAHP Eligibility for Admission – Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT): Applicants must have passed 10+2 or an equivalent examination from a recognized board or the National Open School with at least 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology Appearance in the NEET examination is mandatory for admission. Selection will be based on fulfilling the eligibility criteria and the merit list prepared from 10+2 marks Candidates who studied abroad must possess an equivalent qualification approved by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) and the NCAHP Equivalence Committee and must fulfil all eligibility conditions. The applicant must be at least 17 years old at the time of admission. Must Submit a Physical Fitness Certificate from an Authorized Medical Officer confirming that the candidate has no physical disability as per guidelines. BPT Programme Duration 4.5 years (4 years academics + 6 Months compulsory internship). BPT Minimum Marks 50% aggregate BPT Admission Procedure NEET (National Eligibility Entrance Test) mandatory. Medium of Instruction BPT Internship program 6 Months rotatory internship program Start of Clinical Training From 2nd year onwards Teaching Methods Foundation courses, simulation labs, clinical case-based learning, self-directed learning. Attendance Requirement Minimum 75% in theory, 85% in practical/clinical postings BPT Annual Pattern 4 years (38 weeks per year x 6 days per week x 6 hrs. per day minimum) academic training, excluding internal and University examination, extracurricular activities, Public Holidays and Vacations Commencement of new session should be before 1st September Candidates having a break of study of five years and above from the date of admission and more than two spells of break will not be considered for readmission. The candidates having a break of study of up to five years shall apply for readmission to the appropriate authority of the University. The candidates shall be granted exemption in the subjects they have already passed Migration/transfers of candidates up to second year is allowed between government college to government college. For private colleges Migration/transfers shall be done as per the norms of the concerned University. Internship 6 months compulsory internship after completion of 4 Years academics. Completion of Basic Life Support (BLS) program is mandatory for every student during the 6 months of internship. The concerned institute shall be responsible for organizing the BLS program to be guided by certified instructors for their students. Internship Evaluation: Skill-based evaluation during postings.
