Research Grants
The Health Council has authorized the National Institute to conduct and promote research, in order to supervise the implementation of the National Health Insurance Law and its impact on health services in Israel.
The NIHP issues an annual "Call for Proposals" for research applications. The CFP is distributed publicly among all academic institutions and other research organizations in the field, and is advertised in the media. Proposals undergo a peer review process by experts in Israel and abroad, with final approval given by the Institute's research committee.

The NIHP holds an array of routine meetings and conferences with the purpose of encouraging scientific and public discourse and cooperation between all the leading organizations and individuals that play a role in the health system, academia and government.

IJHPR provides a platform for professional publications and intellectual discourse between scholars from around the world on health policy and health promotion, health care, public health, health economics, health management, and other health-related fields.

About the Institute
The Israel National Institute for Health Policy Research (NIHP) accompanies and assesses the impact of the National Health Insurance Law on health services in Israel through funding research, holding professional and public meetings and encouraging collaboration among all parties in the health system.
The Health Council has authorized the National Institute of Health Policy to encourage research, surveys and professional opinions aimed at assessing the implementation of the National Health Insurance Law and its impact on health services in Israel. Every year, the National Institute for Voice Reader publishes research proposals on relevant topics for these purposes.
