The Wisconsin Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse is part of a statewide network of SBDCs working with business owners and entrepreneurs to facilitate business growth and improvement, and to launch successful new companies. Through no-cost consulting, low-cost entrepreneurial education, and strategic facilitation, SBDC experts serve as resources for small and emerging mid-size companies. SBDC services are provided in a nondiscriminatory way to all legal residents and citizens of the U.S. The Wisconsin SBDC is hosted by the Universities of Wisconsin Administration and is funded in part through a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration.

Business advising
The SBDC offers one-on-one advising for owners, managers and prospective entrepreneurs. Our advisors will help you understand how to solve specific business problems or capitalize on business opportunities. The SBDC at UW-La Crosse business advising is funded by the Small Business Administration and is free of charge.

Business education outreach programs
The SBDC offers business education programs on a variety of basic management, mid-management, executive management and international business topics.
The SBDC can also create custom development programs for a specific company or department and can offer the training in-house.
