Application Deadlines
Financial Aid for Transfer Students
Prospective students who have attended a regionally accredited college or university after graduating from high school and have never attended Wingate University previously should apply for admission as a transfer applicant.
We recommend incoming transfer students carry at least a 2.5 cumulative college GPA. Prospective students must also be in good standing and eligible to return to the last school attended.
1. Complete the free application.

Please note, if you are a current high school student who is taking college courses then you will need to complete our first year undergraduate application located

2. Submit Official Documents
Official college transcript(s) from all institutions previously attended. Applicants should recognize that it can take several weeks for Wingate University to receive official transcripts from other institutions. Applicants are encouraged to order transcripts as early as possible and to continue to send updated transcripts as grades are posted at the end of each semester.
Official high school transcript.
A completed statement of conduct
. This form should be completed by the applicant and the Dean of Student
Life at the last college or university the applicant attended.
If the student is transferring to Wingate University with less than 24 earned credits, they must also submit:
Official test scores (SAT or ACT) OR
A personal statement
To be considered official, documents must be sent directly from the college or university to Wingate University Undergraduate Admissions.

Wingate University operates on rolling admissions. This means that applications are accepted throughout the year, without specific application deadlines.
You can expect a decision to be made within two weeks after all official admission documents have been received.
To best prepare you for a smooth and successful transition into Wingate, we recommend that all application materials be submitted at least one month prior to classes starting.
Transfer students admitted to Wingate University will be offered a merit scholarship based on their cumulative college GPA. The amount of an applicant’s scholarship award will be listed on the acceptance letter. These scholarships range from $15,000 to $21,000 per year.
Transfer student applicants are also encouraged to complete the
FAFSA
to see how much federal, state, and additional institutional aid they are eligible to receive.
