Borrowing Items from the Library
Any local resident with a Colorado Library Card (Colorado public library/school card), such as a Pikes Peak Library card, may check out books, movies and more from the Kraemer Family Library. You are limited to five items out at a time and books can be loaned for a three-week period and movies for a one-week period.
Contact the
Library Assistance Desk
for any questions about checking items out in the Library.
Computer Access
Due to licensing restrictions, community members and visitors cannot access the Library's electronic resources off campus. However, anyone can physically come into the Library to access these resources. There are computers designed as Public Access computer stations. These computers do not require a login and can access most of the electronic resources available to UCCS affiliates. Public Access computers are located on the third floor at the top of the main staircase.
Printing
There is limited printing, scanning, and photocopying available for Public Patrons. Learn more about
scanning and photocopying in the library
School Visits
KFL serves local high schools seeking to increase their research skills. In order to prepare for a class's visit, we ask that teachers reach out to KFL Instruction & Outreach Librarian at least 3 weeks in advance of their anticipated visit date. Please provide:
the day and time the class would like to visit
how many students will be attending
the research assignment that students will be working on
what learning outcomes students are expected to take away from the experience.
High school students will have access to KFL's digital resources only for the duration of their time in the library, but they will have the same borrowing privileges as community members with a Colorado Library Card. You can prepare for your visit by
filling out the application form
in advance. All visitors will need to abide by campus parking enforcement, including school buses and shuttles.
Campus Parking Information
Visitor parking is located in the UCCS parking garages. More information is available at the Department of Public Safety's Visitor Parking page.
NOTE: Parking permits are NOT required on weekend, between semesters, and holidays where classes are not in session.
