Our heartfelt thanks go to everyone who makes the PMA possible — our volunteers, partners, team, and community whose creativity, care, and enthusiasm bring it to life. This recognition belongs to all of you.
“In a place shaped by the dispossession and displacement of the Clearances, heritage cannot stand still: it must be re-signified, kept alive, and opened up as a tool for solidarity and social change. Through the PMA, drawing on our collections and archives, we have worked with communities to reinterpret the past in ways that speak to present realities and future challenges, giving people the means to critically engage and act. This recognition affirms our belief that museums are not storehouses of objects but civic infrastructures where heritage remains active, future-oriented, and meaningful to people’s lives today” said Director and Curator Giulia Gregnanin.
PMA Volunteers inside the Archive
We’d like to give special thanks to our brilliant curator Jacquie Aitken, whose vision, dedication, and relentless commitment have shaped the PMA from the start. Her work embodies the spirit of what this project stands for — collaboration, care, and a deep passion for heritage as a tool of connection and wellbeing.
We’re so proud of the incredible community around Timespan. Your ideas, generosity, and participation continue to make the People’s Mobile Archive a living, evolving project — and this award is for you.
