Facilities provided to International Students
Support to International Students and foreign visitors:
The Office of International Affairs helps foreigners visiting National Sanskrit University by offering institutional support, assisting during the period of adaptation to the University, giving information on possible problems, and ready to help in any other matter during their stay in the country.
The Office of International Affairs also acts as a link between visiting students or faculty and offers services such as:
Information on location and services rendered in the various units of National Sanskrit University.
Information on documents required for stay in India and the use of public services;
Information on tourism and culture.
The University campus has the following amenities
About the Hostel
If a student is admitted to the residential program, they must reside in the campus hostel. For students admitted to non-residential programs, most institutes of National Sanskrit University offer hostel facilities, but please be aware that accommodation is not guaranteed. It is only available if there are vacancies, and the decision of the Warden/Deputy Warden of the institute has the final say on who receives it.
Simhachala Research Scholars’ Hostel :
A three storeyed building has been constructed for accommodating the research scholars.
Men’s Hostel
The Vidyapeetha has been maintaining four Hostels for Men students, namely
Seshachala,
Vedachala,
Garudachala and
Neelachala
In these Hostels, two separate messes with attached kitchens preparing and serving exclusively North Indian and South Indian cuisine are being maintained for the benefit of the students hailing from different parts of the country.
Women’s Hostel
The Vidyapeetha has three separate hostels for Women students, namely
Padmachala,
Vidyachala and
Vakulachala
All the women students from Prak-Sastri to Vidyavaridhi are being accommodated in these hostels. A mess with a kitchen is also maintained in the Women’s hostels.
Rules and Regulations for Hostels
There is provision for hostel accommodation to all the regular students.
No student can claim a seat in the Hostel as a matter of right, nor can he/she continue to stay in a particular room all the time.
The decision of the Warden/Deputy Warden in the allotment of the room is final.
Hostel admission for the M.Phil and Vidyavaridhi(Ph.D) scholars is subject to the availability of accommodation in the respective hostels.
The students will be required to give an undertaking to abide by the rules in force in the hostels.
The students admitted into P.G.Diploma and Certificate courses will not be provided hostel accommodation.
The students seeking admission for a second course at Sastri/Acharya/M.Phil/Vidyavaridhi level (horizontal movement) are not eligible either for hostel accommodation or for scholarship of the Vidyapeetha and social welfare department.
Hostel Selection Process: Factors That Determine Allocation
National Sanskrit University follows a fair and transparent hostel selection process. The following factors play a role in determining hostel accommodation allocation:
Year of Admission:
First-year students are given priority for hostel accommodation, ensuring a smooth transition into university life.
Gender Segregation:
Hostels are segregated by gender to ensure a comfortable and safe living environment and providing double cot bed , Ac Accommodation with attached bathroom
Academic Performance:
National Sanskrit University values academic excellence. Students with good academic performance are given preference for hostel accommodation.
Hostel Application Date:
Early applicants have a higher likelihood of securing hostel accommodation. Therefore, it is advisable to submit your application as soon as the application window opens.
Bank:
Union Bank of India
is centrally located in Ground Floor of N. S. Ramanuja Tatacharya Academic Building It functions between 9.30 am and 4 pm..
Post Office:
The Post Office is centrally located next to the Guest House. It functions between 9.30 am and 5 pm. The Post Office provides Speed Post, Registered Post and Stamps.
ATMs:
The campus has One ATMs– of N. S. Ramanuja Tatacharya Academic Building one next to the Vice Chancellor Bungalow.
