SDG 10 – REDUCED INEQUALITIES – SORSOGON STATE UNIVERSITY
Skip to content
Overview
Sorsogon State University (SorSU) is dedicated to promoting reduced inequalities within our community. We undertake various programs and activities aimed at ensuring equitable access to resources and opportunities for all stakeholders, including students, faculty, and non-teaching staff.
To address the needs of persons with disabilities (PWDs), we have improved our infrastructure and facilities, making them more accessible to all users. Our commitment to social protection systems ensures that all members of the university community benefit from fair and equitable support. Additionally, extension services such as “Tabang Para sa Sorsogueños”, in partnership with the Integrated Institute of Electrical Engineers- Sorsogon Chapter, which undertook electrical safety and audit activities for selected DEPED schools and electrical wiring installation trainings for Out-of-School-Youth, as well as seminars/events undertaken to address issues on mental health, especially among students, measures against discrimination embedded in the student handbook and anti-discrimination policy on hiring are some initiatives that further strengthens university efforts to promote inclusivity and equity. Through these initiatives, SorSU fosters a supportive environment that empowers everyone and contributes to the overarching goal of reducing inequalities.
