Women, Infants & Children Program (WIC)
WIC is a Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for pregnant, breastfeeding, and postpartum women, infants, and children up to their 5th birthday. WIC provides nutritious foods, nutrition information, breastfeeding promotion, breastfeeding support and referrals to other health and social services. The foods provided may include infant formula, infant fruits/vegetables and infant cereal, adult cereals low in sugar and high in iron, milk, cheese, juice, eggs, peanut butter, dried beans/peas, whole grains, canned fish and fresh fruits and vegetables.

Breastfeeding Program
Choosing to breastfeed your infant is one of the most important decisions that you will ever make as a parent, and Louisiana WIC offers extra benefits for women who want to breastfeed.
Vendor Operations
WIC-authorized vendors (grocery stores) are an essential component to the success of the WIC Program. The Authorized Vendor Hub contains all necessary resources for current Louisiana WIC Vendors.
Complaints and Fraud
If you suspect WIC recipients or vendors/grocery stores are abusing the program, you can report this to the state for investigation. You can also file one of the five types of WIC complaints.
