International Student Admissions
At Adrian College, we believe the best way to prepare for your future is to embrace the rich cultural diversity that is abundant on our campus.
At Adrian, we create an environment for our international students to learn and thrive in, while offering a valuable education. Ranked among the "Top Schools in the Midwest," according to U.S. News & World Report, and one of the "Top 20 Fastest Growing Baccalaureate Institutions" by The Chronicle of Higher Education, our accolades speak to the exceptional education you will receive here.
We believe an Adrian College education is the key to your success story, and it all begins with your application.
Step #1
Apply through our online application. Rolling admission until
October 1
for spring semester;
May 1
for fall semester.
Step #2
Submit your official high school transcript and/or any university transcripts. These must be official (signed and sealed) documents sent direct from the school. If the documents are not in English, they must be evaluated and translated prior to submission (we recommend
World Education Services - WES.org
or a similar service).
Step #3
Submit applicable test scores.
TOEFL
/
IELTS
required if native language is not English.
Step #4
Students should complete the
CSS Profile
through The College Board and submit to Adrian College (school code: 1001). Please contact your Admissions Counselor with questions.
Step #5
Upon receipt of your financial aid package, submit your
$350 enrollment deposit
to officially commit to Adrian College and secure your spot for the upcoming semester.
Step #6
Submit supporting financial documents (via mail or email) during the Proof of Funding process. Financial documents can include (but are not limited to):
Parent income statement
- This can be a statement issued by their employer, person in charge of company finances, or it can be a government-issued tax document with the income amount listed.
Parent savings statement
- This bank statement must be recent and should demonstrate that you can cover one year of your pledged amount from savings. If this is a checking account, the transaction history must not exceed 3 months.
Sponsor letter of intent
(if applicable) - This is a letter written by your sponsor indicating the amount they pledge towards your educational costs for each year.
Sponsor savings statement
(if applicable) - This bank statement must be recent and should demonstrate that your sponsor can cover at least two years of their pledged amount from savings. If this is a checking account, the transaction history must not exceed 3 months.
Step #7
Upon receiving your I-20 from your Admissions Counselor, pay the SEVIS fee and schedule a visa interview appointment with the U.S. Embassy or Consulate in your country. If you are from Canada or Mexico, you do not need to schedule an embassy appointment.
