Bellarmine offers a range of innovative auxiliary courses designed to help students explore their passions and build real-world skills. These enrichment opportunities invite students to stretch their minds and develop the confidence to lead with purpose. Whether they’re mastering the mindset of high performers, programming intelligent systems, or designing creative solutions to global challenges, these courses empower Bellarmine students to grow as thinkers.

Artificial Intelligence Courses with Inspirit AI
A Winning Attitude: Unlocking High Performance in School, Sports, and Life
Is your son an innovator at heart? Is he interested in entrepreneurship?
Bellarmine is proud to announce a partnership with Design Tech which brings their
Innovation Certificate Program
to Bellarmine freshmen and sophomores to gain the tools of
design thinking
—a problem-solving approach used by entrepreneurs, engineers, and global leaders.
Through this program, students will receive:
Design Thinking Bootcamp (3 weeks)
→ Build creativity, problem-solving, and resilience.
Design Studio Course (5 weeks)
→ Apply skills through hands-on, collaborative projects.
3 Units of Pre-College Credit →
Awarded by UC San Diego Division of Extended Studies.
Bellarmine students who complete this program will also be eligible to participate in
Design Tech's Internship Accelerator
, which offers real-world internships that build college & career readiness.
No prior experience required, and Design Tech’s experienced educators will coach your son throughout this journey of innovation and learning.
Schedule & Registration
Classes meet virtually on Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:30 - 7:30 PM, beginning on March 9 and concluding on May 6.
This class is open to currently enrolled Bellarmine freshmen and sophomores only.

Artificial intelligence is the defining technology of our time: from our voice-activated devices and smartphone face recognition systems to autonomous vehicles. Students with diverse interests have the potential to apply this technology for social good in limitless ways.
Bellarmine is offering interdisciplinary, project-based artificial intelligence enrichment through Inspirit AI, an education program developed and taught by Stanford and MIT graduates starting
September 23
.
These
co-ed evening classes
provide students with opportunities to explore the different applications of machine learning models and learn about how artificial intelligence can help us develop a deeper understanding of language, fight pandemics, power self-driving cars, and much more. Students in the program will also learn to program AI using Python, apply algorithms to real-world datasets, discuss AI ethics and applications, and complete an instructor-led group project applying AI to a discipline like music, healthcare, astrophysics, finance, etc. while utilizing the programming skills they have developed.
Classes will take place on Bellarmine's campus on these dates:
AI Pioneers
(grades 6-8): September 23 - November 20 (Tuesdays and Thursdays, 4 - 5:30 pm)
AI Scholars
(grades 9-12): September 23 - November 20 (Tuesdays and Thursdays, 5:30 - 7 pm)
AI Deep Dive
(grades 9-12): September 23 - November 20 (Tuesdays and Thursdays, 5:30 - 7 pm)
Inspirit’s practitioners and educators will teach students the necessary coding skills to be successful in the course. No prior experience is required, however coding experience is helpful. The course concludes with a virtual poster session where students will showcase their final projects to friends and family.

This fall, Bellarmine is offering a dynamic new coed course that equips students with practical mindset tools and leadership skills to build confidence, focus, self-awareness, and resilience. Through a curriculum rooted in performance psychology and real-life application, students will learn strategies to manage stress, embrace challenges as growth opportunities, and lead with intention so they can thrive in every arena.
Who:
Led by performance coach Andre Chapman Jr., this coed course is designed for students in grades 9-12 seeking to build confidence and leadership skills. André Chapman Jr. is a Bellarmine alumnus, record-setting athlete, and nationally respected mental performance coach with a proven track record of helping students succeed under pressure. His journey spans elite athletics, academic achievement, and high-level performance strategy, giving him a rare perspective on what it truly takes to thrive in sport, school, and life.
What:
“A Winning Attitude: The Key to Unlocking High Performance” is a hands-on, psychology-backed course that gives students the mindset tools and leadership skills to thrive in the classroom, in competition, and in everyday life.
When:
September 28th to December 14th
Sundays 2:00 – 3:00 PM
Tuesdays 7:00 – 8:00 AM

Bellarmine College Prep
Lokey Building, room 110
Why:
High schoolers are facing more pressure than ever, especially in the Bay Area, where academic and athletic expectations are sky-high and college planning starts early. Students will come away from this course with a personalized performance toolkit to help them:
Set and achieve goals
Build emotional composure and resilience
Master focus and self-talk
Lead with purpose and intention
Additionally, upon completion of the course, each student will receive a certificate of completion, a letter grade, and a written assessment from instructor Andre Chapman Jr. Students will also have completed course materials that can be repurposed as college application essays, portfolio materials, and resume builders showcasing their growth, mindset, and leadership skills.
