About us
Bukovinian State Medical University is a modern multidisciplinary higher education establishment with the ideology of advanced innovative development based on harmonious and partnership relations between employees, students and society. We have 4 faculties, 48 departments, an Educational and Scientific Institute of Postgraduate Education and a College
University Staff
The teaching staff includes over 560 teachers, including 88 professors, 263 associate professors, and over 400 doctors of sciences, candidates of sciences and PhD
Our students
The total number of people studying at the University is over 6300, including 3005 students, 698 interns, 2500 doctors and pharmacists. The University presents the largest Indian community
Postgraduate education
Every year BSMU trains over 725 interns on 24 specialties and gives the possibility to improve the level of professional skills for more than 2,500 physicians and pharmacists
Goals in passing FMGE
A good level of studentʼs preparation for passing
the Foreign Medical Graduates Examination. BSMU represents hight level of FMGE among Indian students

In 2024, according to the results of the Consolidated Rating of Higher Education Institutions of Ukraine, BSMU is among the TOP-10 best institutions of higher medical education in Ukraine.
The University ranked 5th among medical universities and 34th among all Ukrainian higher education institutions in the academic ranking of higher education institutions of Ukraine “Top-200 Ukraine 2024”.
According to the Internet productivity rating “Webometrics Ranking of World’s Universities”, in July 2024 the University ranked 2nd among medical universities of Ukraine and 22nd among all Ukrainian higher education institutions.
