Albizu Clinic
Albizu Clinic offers developmental evaluations and group and individual therapy for children, adults, and older adults. Affiliated with Albizu University (AU), this clinic offers mental health services to the community. Since its inception in 1996, it has operated as a nonprofit organization in keeping with federal and local regulations. The clinic is part of AU’s practical teaching program for students pursuing master’s and doctoral degrees. Moreover, it offers evidence-based services to the entire community, such as individual, family, and couples’ therapy, as well as psychometric, psychoeducational, and psychological evaluations.
Clinical Proposals
2001 – at present: Sexual Abuse Support Program for Victims and Their Families (PAF, by its Spanish acronym) (runs the Evaluation of Sexual Abuse Allegations [EAAS, by its Spanish acronym] and psychotherapy services). Training for professionals and students and research.

Doctoral Internship Program
The Albizu Clinic has an internship program for students in the Clinical Psychology program. This internship has been accredited since July 2016 by the American Psychological Association (APA) and is available to eligible students of the Psy.D. and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology of Albizu University.

Therapy
Individual Psychotherapy
Individual therapy sessions are offered for children, adolescents, and adults. A mental health professional will seek to improve your quality of life by helping you deal with personal, behavioral, academic, or emotional problems, as well as any other situation that may provoke emotional distress.
Couples and Family Therapy
A mental health professional will help a couple and family work through any problems and emotional conflicts that are affecting them. The objective is to tend to the needs of each family member and to find solutions together in order to minimize tension and improve couple or family interactions.
Group Therapy
During these sessions, the group will work together to identify and focus on specific issues and concerns that provoke emotional distress. Our goal is to increase our participants’ support network and to help them manage their problems collectively.
Therapy for Domestic Violence and/or Sexual Abuse Survivors
Our goal is to emotionally heal people who have experienced any type of physical, psychological, or sexual assault through individual sessions. We will sensitively offer professional support and guidance in order to treat the psychological, emotional, and behavioral effects of these traumas.
Specialized Evaluations
The clinic administers specialized tests, such as psychometric, psychoeducational, psychological, and neuropsychological evaluations, to explore cognitive ability, learning problems, memory problems, personality, and emotional difficulties.

Initial interview: $20 per session
Individual therapy: $20 per session
Family therapy interview: $30 per session
Couples therapy interview: $30 per session
Group therapy: $15 per participant
Psychometric evaluation: $130, with payment plan
Psychological evaluation: $200, with payment plan
Psychoeducational evaluation: $230, with payment plan
Neuropsychological evaluation: $275, with payment plan

Speech and Language Therapy for Children
Services for infants, children, teens, and young adults from 0 to 21 years old in the areas of speech, language, dysphagia, fluency, voice, and literacy disorders.
We offer specialized services for children diagnosed with autism, intellectual disability, hearing impairment, and developmental deficiencies.
Speech and Language Therapy for Adults
Services for adults 21 years and older.
We have specialized clinics in the areas of feeding and swallowing (dysphagia), neurogenic and linguistic disorders (intellectual/cognitive impairment, CVA, Parkinson's, Alzheimer's, and other neurodegenerative diseases that affect communication), voice, fluency, and articulation.
Evaluation and Diagnosis
Developmental Screening
This program is aimed at infants and children ages 0 to 5 with apparent developmental needs.
The psychologist and the speech pathologist perform an interdisciplinary screening to determine possible referrals for evaluation.
Pediatric Screening
We offer short tests to infants, children, teens, and young adults from 0 to 21 years old with suspected difficulties in the areas of language, speech, hearing, and feeding and swallowing (dysphagia) to determine the need for formal evaluation.
Adult Screening
We offer short tests to adults over 21 years of age with suspected difficulties in the areas of language, speech, cognition, hearing, and feeding and swallowing (dysphagia) to determine the need for formal evaluation.
Pediatric Evaluation and Diagnosis
Formal evaluation for infants, children, teens, and young adults from 0 to 21 years old with difficulties in the areas of language, speech, and hearing to determine the need for treatment.
Adult Evaluation and Diagnosis
Formal evaluation for adults over 21 years of age with difficulties in the areas of language, speech, hearing, and cognition to determine the need for treatment.
Evaluation in Feeding and Swallowing (Dysphagia)
Non-instrumental evaluation of children and adults with difficulties in feeding and swallowing.
Includes evaluation of individuals with selective, sensory, and neurogenic feeding profiles.
Screening and Audiological Evaluation
Evaluation of basic audiology that includes tympanometry, pure tones, otoacoustic emissions, and otoscopy.
Neonatal Screening
Screening tests with the use of pure tones and otoacoustic emissions.
