The Center for Academic Writing is one of the leading writing centers in Europe, awarded the "Writing Program of Excellence" certificate by the Conference on College Composition and Communication in 2004. Open Society Archives at CEU
The Blinken OSA Archivum (OSA) at CEU actively collects, preserves and makes openly accessible documents related to recent history and human rights. It also experiments with new ways to contextualize primary sources, developing innovative tools to explore, represent or bridge traditional archival collections in a digital environment.

Educational Outreach Office
CEU Educational Outreach Office (EOO) supports CEU students, faculty and academic units in engaging wider communities—locally and globally— to advance innovative thinking and build socially engaged knowledge. Through targeted learning and skills-building opportunities, and by providing platforms for exchange on pressing global challenges, the EOO bridges the theoretical and the practical by connecting academic partners with professionals, policymakers, business and social entrepreneurs, and civil society advocates, who seek to develop new knowledge, skills and networks.

Making science more open, relevant, applicable and accessible to society and its needs.
The CEU Science for Society Hub supports and prepares students to undertake socially engaged research, whether as part of a course, thesis, internship, capstone or individual research project.

CEU Academy
The focus of the CEU Academy is three-fold: developing micro-credential learning and certifications, offering Summer University and Seasonal Schools courses to advanced students, scholars and professionals, and supporting initiatives that enable access to higher education.
The Educational Outreach Office in collaboration with CEU faculty and external partners, designs and delivers intensive, non-degree and micro-credential programs for professionals, policymakers, public or private sector leaders, and socially engaged scholars with the purpose of empowering young leaders and professionals to drive meaningful change in their fields.
Summer University and Seasonal Schools program promotes excellence in research, teaching, learning, and social engagement. It offers high-level, research-oriented, interdisciplinary, and innovative academic courses in the social sciences and humanities as well as workshops on methods, policy issues, professional development, and civic engagement.

CEU Access Programs engage with secondary education sector by creating effective pathways into social science higher education for underrepresented and marginalized young learners and opportunities to develop dialogical learning and critical thinking skills for adults from underprivileged communities in Vienna and Austria.
