The Heartbeat of Care
Like most hospitals, nurses contribute to patient outcomes on every level. From routine rounds to emergency interventions, our nursing team combines expertise with compassion—offering a safe, caring environment for patients and their families alike.
Models of Care
Driscoll nursing follows a primary nursing model of care. Patients are assigned to a Registered Nurse (RN) who is the primary point of contact and primary caregiver during a patient’s hospitalization. The RN’s patient assignments are based on the condition and stability of the patient as well as the skillset and experience of the nurse and the team. The RN has a team of nursing support staff such as supervisors, educators and nursing assistants or unit secretaries in addition to the interdisciplinary team including, but not limited to, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, rehabilitation therapists, physicians and advanced practice providers.
