Regis and the Texas Education Freedom Account (TEFA) Program
Regis will not participate in the Texas Education Freedom Account (TEFA) program for the 2026–27 school year. This decision, approved by the Board of Trustees, will allow time for Regis to monitor and examine the implementation of this new program, with an eye towards what impacts—both positive and negative—it may have on the School and its families in future years. The Board of Trustees will consider participation for the 2027–28 school year during the summer of 2027. In the interim, while Regis is not participating in the TEFA program this year, families are strongly encouraged to apply directly to the School for financial assistance. Regis’ tuition assistance budget is generously funded to support the demonstrated financial needs of both current and newly-admitted families.

All tuition assistance is need-based and confidential.
Yes, the tuition assistance committee considers all aspects of a family’s specific situation including income, assets, debts, the number of students and other financial responsibilities. Many families are eligible to receive tuition assistance, and we encourage everyone to apply each year.
The Regis Board of Trustees allocates tuition assistance dollars as a priority in the annual budget. The funds are raised through grants and fundraising initiatives such as The Regis Fund and the School’s annual Auction and Gala.
