Museum Galleries during Clerkenwell Design Week
From Tuesday 19 May to Thursday 21 May we will be hosting Clerkenwell Design Week. The Museum Galleries at St John’s Gate will remain open but may be busier than usual. If you
register for Clerkenwell Design Week
you can access the historic spaces for free and view the Design Week exhibits.
Visiting the Museum galleries
and shop
The Museum galleries and shop are on the ground floor of St John’s Gate, and are open Wednesday – Saturday, 9:30am – 5pm.
Visits to the Museum galleries and shop are free of charge to all. Donations are welcomed.

Visiting the Cloister Garden
Our Cloister Garden is an oasis for people and nature, a spot to meet friends, eat lunch or enjoy a quiet time. The Garden is open Monday – Saturday 9:30am to dusk, except when a private event or children’s activities are taking place (usually Wednesdays and some Tuesdays during school holidays; Thursdays and some Wednesdays during term time). If you want to be sure that the garden will be open when you are planning to visit, please contact us and we can let you know. Visits to the Cloister Garden are free of charge to all. Donations are welcomed.

and Underground
The nearest station is Farringdon, which is
5 minutes’ walk from the Museum. It is served by Thameslink trains, the Elizabeth Line and the London Underground (Metropolitan, Circle and Hammersmith & City lines).
Bus
Clerkenwell Road (55, 243), St John Street (153) and Farringdon Road (40, 63, 341).
Car
Pay and display parking spaces are available in St John’s Square.
(Parking restrictions and charges apply Monday to Friday, 9am to 6.30pm, Saturday 9am to 1.30pm, 2 hours maximum stay). There are also several NCP car parks within walking distance. Please see the
