A walk across the campus here at Livingstone College is an absorbing experience. The Maples and Oaks are distinct, the rich history, the heritage, and the spirit of potential is evident. So much happens here.
For many, Livingstone represents a promise of a different life. A student from rural America will discover Langston Hughes. A junior from Atlanta will form a lifelong bond with a sophomore from South Africa. Students will realize that a career as an attorney, doctor, educator, engineer or a life in public service is within their grasp. Professors, each semester, rediscover the gift of pouring knowledge into vessels that become extensions of themselves and watch with enthusiasm as the evolution from student to scholar occurs. So much happens here beneath “The Maples and The Oaks!”
On behalf of the Division of Institutional Advancement here at Livingstone, I greet you with Blue Bear Pride! Exciting things are happening here at your beloved Livingstone: a beautiful brick and wrought iron fencing project that will ultimately enclose the entire college; the building of a new 230 plus bedroom dorm and student center; ongoing beautification of the campus grounds; and an undeniable synergy sweeping the campus. Under the steady leadership of our twelfth President, Dr. Jimmy R. Jenkins, Sr., and guidance from Chairman of the Board, Bishop Battle and our esteemed Board of Trustees, Livingstone College is positioned to ascend “To the Next Level”!
You are an important part of our past and a vital component of our future. By making an investment in Livingstone, you enhance the College’s critical functions and provide resources that transform a good education into an exceptional one and the opportunity for a student to benefit from your gifts. The tradition of support from alumni, families and friends at Livingstone has always been a keystone. Your support bridges the future successes of our students, faculty and growth with a keen eye on our collective past accomplishments. Your investment enhances the value of your degree and illustrates to potential students and donors that you are proud of Livingstone.
Again, welcome to the Division of Institutional Advancement and we thank you in advance for your continued support of this great Institution. If there is anything we can do for you, please do not hesitate to contact us at (704) 216-6045.
