School Counseling
Sayre School’s counseling team supports student wellbeing across academic, social, and emotional domains. Counselors are active in the school community and available to students throughout the school day. Our counseling program provides services targeted at the student body as a whole, with the goal of reaching as many students as possible, while also working with smaller groups or individual students when needed.
Program Highlights
Classroom guidance lessons and other student education
Individual counseling on a limited, as-needed basis
Parent education and consultation
Partnership with teachers, administrators, and other student support personnel
Cross-divisional programming, such as mental health education and suicide prevention and substance abuse prevention
Services tailored to the age/developmental level of students
Protection of student confidentiality
Referral to services in the community
National and Local Crisis Resources
