ALREADY A UGA STUDENT?
Our students receive regular news and updates, including job and internship posts, club meetings and announcements, and access to school-wide events. Students can enter Warnell as a pre-professional student at any time with no prerequisites. But in order to be accepted into the professional program, Warnell requires a minimum 2.5 GPA as well as completion of specific required courses. Professional?
Pre-Professional?
What does it all mean?
Warnell’s programs consist of two parts:
The pre-professional:
Classes you take in your first two years of college that provide a foundation in biological, physical, and social sciences, and the humanities.
The professional:
Two years of natural resources courses and specialized study in your chosen major. This is where you tailor your coursework to align with your interests after graduation.
Undergraduates from across UGA, as well as transfer students, are welcome to apply to the professional program as long as they have met the entrance requirements. Students typically apply in the last semester of their second year, as they are finishing their pre-professional courses.
