(MURP) degree offers professional education in the planning field. Graduates may eventually apply their professional skills in various government agencies, private enterprises, or non-profit organizations within a variety of subject areas.

Program visions to create a sustainable built and natural environment that
enriches communities and cities through leadership, entrepreneur creativity,

sustainable planning and policy. Our program explores the local processes of
urbanization on a global scale, with an emphasis on responsible practices.

urban planning, including economic development, housing, land use,
transportation, and the environment

Eligibility
As
Urban and Regional Planning involves a multi-disciplinary approach, we take
students from the field of Architecture, Engineering, Geography, Planning and Sociology.
However, we feel this needs to be further broad based and open to other related
disciplines in the long run.
POTENTIAL AREA AND SCOPE
The course gives platform to the young talent and minds in the field of Urban planning and its associated sub fields like Infrastructure, planning, transport planning, inclusive planning, heritage management, geo-informatics and remote sensing applications, land use planning, environmental and climate resilient planning, housing and real estate, urban governance and finance etc. with a perspective and understanding at local, national level and global level

Various studio exercises to stimulate critical thinking and solutions.
Site Visits:
Focused study area visits to understand real world urban problems and data mining. Relevant Course Subjects
Course outline such that a compressive learning components shapes up supporting the studio exercises.

Exposure through professional training in various departments/organizations to make students competent and confident.
Continuous Work Review:
Students’ work reviewed by internal faculties and external jurors from various top tiered organizations to provide them with appropriate feedback.
Interactive Sessions| Expert Lectures:
Sessions and expert lectures by experienced people to expand students exposure.  Software Learning Dedicated GIS Lab for students to learn mapping and analysis.
Internship/Office Training of 6-8 Weeks after 2nd Semester is mandatory in the course
