Available Positions
Art Teacher (Years 7–12, including VCE Art Making & Exhibiting) Fixed Term | Approx. 0.87 FTE (including every second Wednesday off) | Commencing ASAP

We are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate Art Teacher tojoin our community in a fixed-term replacement position through to the end of2026, with the possibility of extension into 2027.
This is more than a teaching role — it’s an opportunityto make a genuine impact.
About the role:
Teach Art across Years 7–12, including VCE Art Making and Exhibiting
Support and guide senior students through their VCE journey with clarity and     confidence
Establish continuity, structure and engagement in the Art program
Contribute to a dynamic and creative learning culture within the College
We are looking for someone who:
Is a passionate and experienced Art educator, ideally with VCE experience
Brings creativity, energy and excellent organisational skills
Builds positive, respectful relationships with students
Is proactive, adaptable and ready to step into a role where they can make a difference

Learning Support Officer
Mercy College is a Catholic Secondary College for young women conducted in the Mercy tradition with justice, compassion, hospitality and excellence underpinning all we do.

We are currently seeking a Learning Support Officer, for a full time ongoing position commencing Monday 29 January 2024.
Appointees are expected to show understanding of and commitment to the Catholic ethos of the College. Mercy College is committed to creating and maintaining a child safe environment in which students feel safe and are safe. A condition of employment is that the application is deemed to be suitable to work with children.

Learning Support Officer Position Description
Excellent written, oral communication and interpersonal skills including empathy, good listening skills and the ability to negotiate and liaise with parents/guardians, staff and students
Good understanding of administration and processes
Ability to:
work both independently as well as collaboratively, within a busy environment
maintain strict confidentiality and to exercise discretion and sound judgement
use a level of technology appropriate to the position and/or a willingness to learn other position specific software and highly developed attention to detail
Relevant qualifications and/or experience
A willingness to undertake professional development
Demonstrated:
organisational skills including the ability to prioritise, meet deadlines and use initiative
capacity for intercultural understanding and communication
Teacher Librarian
The Teacher Librarian role is a contract position offered as a 0.4 (FTE) for Semester 2 of 2023.

Ideally this will be a teacher with a specific qualification in this area of education. They will provide a broad range of digital, print, electronic and audio-visual resources to support the learning outcomes of students and support effective teaching.
The role will also involve supporting English teachers with Wide Reading programs at a junior secondary level and conducting daily library duties such as borrowing books to students, returns, shelving of resources and purchasing of resources for teaching staff.
