About the Trust
The Leicester Grammar School Trust is a family of three independent co-educational day schools based in Great Glen, Leicestershire.
We are a family of co-educational schools, with
shared expectations of excellence
for our pupils' academic and personal development.
Our schools, leaders and staff offer great expertise and experience in
nurturing curious and talented children
from age 3 -18.
Collaboration across our schools ensures sharing of
best practice and a broad range of opportunities for children
- though these might vary according to the school.
Each school's curriculum ensures
an excellent preparation for the next stage of education
, for public examinations and for life.
A common, values-led pastoral approach and shared leadership, resources and training ensure the
safety and well-being of pupils
across our schools.
Leicester Grammar School and Leicester Grammar Junior School have established a strong reputation for
academic success
. LGS Stoneygate is also selective but has smaller classes and can therefore provide
more individual attention
for a wider range of abilities. Its pupils score highly on measures of value added and proceed beyond GCSE to a range of Sixth Form providers, with several joining the LGS Sixth Form for their A-levels.
Leicester Grammar School and Leicester Grammar Junior School occupy
large, modern buildings on an extensive green campus
. LGS Stoneygate, also in Great Glen, has a
more rural setting, a mixture of more traditional and modern buildings and a conspicuous family feel
. All three schools benefit from sharing certain facilities to enhance our pupils' educational experience.
The Trust family of schools provides options which suit different children in different ways, but with the same
