School Directors The North Allegheny School District Board of School Directors is comprised of nine well-educated, highly committed, and experienced individuals whose determination to deliver outstanding educational opportunities to our children is second to none. Dr. Jesse Adams jadams1@northallegheny.org Term Began: December 2025 Term Expires: December 2029 Jesse brings more than twenty years of experience in engineering, education, and technology development. In addition to running the Corcom innovation accelerator, he also works with Melzi Corporation developing multi-sensor systems and supporting product design and strategy, having also contributed to FDA-related quality processes. Previously, Jesse co-founded NevadaNano, helping grow the company through federal research awards, long-term industry partnerships, and national innovation recognitions. He also co-founded Nanolabz, contributing to advances in possible proton therapy source research. His background includes consulting in data analysis, predictive modeling, and technology strategy for both sensor and hospitality industries. Jesse served as an Assistant Professor at the University of Nevada, where he co-founded the university’s nanoscience program and received a grant for education and an award for innovation. He is the senior author of the textbook Nanotechnology: Understanding Small Systems. He earned his MS and PhD in mechanical engineering from Stanford University as an NSF Graduate Research Fellow, and a BSME with a Business Minor from the University of Nevada. Jesse and his family live in Marshall Township. Mrs. Libby Blackburn lblackburn@northallegheny.org Term Began: December 2011 Term Expires: December 2027 Libby Blackburn grew up in McCandless, attended North Allegheny, and furthered her education by earning a degree from Kenyon College.  She is now retired after working over 27 years for American Airlines. Dr. Robert Gibbs rgibbs@northallegheny.org Term Began: December 2023 Term Expires: December 2027 Dr. Gibbs is Vice Chair for Education and Professor of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy where he has served as scientist and educator for over 30 years. He also served for nine years on the board of a local non-profit, including five years as treasurer and two years as president. Dr. Gibbs is a graduate of The University of Rochester with a BS in neuroscience and a BA in philosophy.  He went on to earn a PhD in biological sciences from the Department of Psychobiology at the University of California, Irvine, followed by postdoctoral training at the Rockefeller University in New York. He and his wife Carolyn moved to Pittsburgh in 1993.  They have three children all of whom attended North Allegheny schools. Dr. Gibbs and his wife currently reside in McCandless. Ms. Paige Hardy phardy@northallegheny.org Term Began: December 2021 Term Expires: December 2029 Paige Hardy grew up in Colorado and graduated from Grand Junction High School. She went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and psychology from the University of Colorado at Boulder, and a Master of Arts degree in psychology from the University of Melbourne, in Melbourne, Australia. After graduate school Paige worked as a researcher and data analyst for 10 years at institutions including the Boston Public Health Commission, Boston Medical Center, Brigham & Women’s Hospital, and Case Western Reserve University. In 2016 when she and her family moved to Marshall, she started volunteering in North Allegheny schools. Since then, Paige has served on Marshall Elementary’s PFA executive board and multiple North Allegheny parent advisory committees. Ms. Hardy and her family reside in Marshall Township. Mrs. Jackie Leicht jleicht1@northallegheny.org Term Began: December 2025 Term Expires: December 2029 Jackie Leicht grew up in Youngstown, Ohio. There she received her Bachelor of Arts from Youngstown State University. She and her husband, David, moved to Chicago so she could pursue her Master of Arts at Loyola University. After living in Chicago and the New York City area, she and David moved to Pittsburgh in 2004. In 2007, her family moved to McCandless township so their son could one day attend North Allegheny schools. Jackie has solely worked in the non-profit field, working as the financial and development coordinator for the Greenwich Historical Society in Connecticut. Locally, she worked at the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust in the development office. For the last 16 years, Jackie has served as the administrator of a local congregation, where her responsibilities include building maintenance, security procedures and bookkeeping. Dr. Anisha Shah ashah1@northallegheny.org Term Began: December 2023 Term Expires: December 2027 Mrs. Emily Theys etheys@northallegheny.org Term Began: December 2025 Term Expires: December 2029 Emily Theys was raised in the North Hills and holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from Allegheny College and a Master of Fine Arts from Sarah Lawrence College. For more than 15 years, she has worked as a nonprofit development professional, specializing in grant writing and fundraising. Through her work with Surala Consulting, she partners with arts organizations nationwide—including dance companies, off-Broadway theatres, art museums, music organizations, and arts advocacy groups—to strengthen their funding, clarify their mission, and expand their impact After living in New York City and Washington, D.C. for more than a decade, Emily returned to Pittsburgh to raise a family. Since then, she has been an active volunteer in the North Allegheny community. She is a former Co-President of the Marshall Elementary Parent Faculty Association, a board member and coach with the Brad Mar Pine Baseball and Softball organization, and the head coach of a Pittsburgh Power softball team. Emily resides in McCandless with her husband, Jonathan, their children, Lincoln and Violet, and their dog, Ziggy. Mrs. Elizabeth M. J. Warner ewarner1@northallegheny.org Term Began: December 2019 Term Expires: December 2027 Elizabeth M. J. Warner grew up in Connecticut and Michigan, graduating from Bloomfield Hills Lahser High School. She graduated with university honors from Carnegie Mellon University with a degree in Civil Engineering and Engineering and Public Policy. She earned a master’s degree in Environmental Engineering from Johns Hopkins University. Following graduate school, Mrs. Warner worked as an Air Quality Engineer for the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection. In 2009, she started volunteering in North Allegheny schools and since then has served on her PTA’s executive board and multiple North Allegheny advisory committees. Mrs. Warner and her family reside in McCandless.
