With an expected 7%* job growth rate over the next few years, automotive dealerships, service and repair centers, and independent shops are on the lookout for highly skilled technicians and shop managers. These are people who are fascinated by how things work, and are motivated to take things apart and put them back together again. They are problem solvers, focusing on getting to the root of the issue. They ask questions, navigate complex software and technologies, and make necessary adjustments to prevent, fix, and maintain. Dunwoody Automotive is for these types of people. With one of the most sophisticated automotive educational labs in the country, Dunwoody Automotive programs provide training in two main areas: automotive service and collision repair and refinishing. Spending about 70% of class time in lab, students will work on current automobiles with the same equipment and software they will find out in industry. Instructors are certified ASE technicians and work directly with industry partners like Audi, Honda, Mercedes-Benz, Mopar, Subaru, and Toyota to ensure curriculum is cutting edge. Part- and full-time, paid internship opportunities with local businesses reinforce curriculum and set students up for employment upon graduation. *Bureau of Labor Statistics Data: Source 1 Source 2 Dunwoody keeps pace with advancements in automotive technology From self-driving vehicles to alternative fuels, the automotive field has experienced a flood of technological advancements during the past few years.
