William Wordsworth has a way of saying much with just a few words — the trait of a poet whose words are worth considering.
What Wordsworth is saying — and what we as educators at Calvary take to heart — is that the experiences, emotions, attachments, and habits that we develop as children
profoundly shape who we become as adults
Consider a child who learns to appreciate classical music at age five.
If that attention
is trained and developed over time, along with other worthwhile habits,
this child will go on to enjoy
a whole wide world of
things that matter outside of their phone
at age 18.
Of course you know we’re not just talking about music … but scripture, literature, history, algebra, hard work, self-control, perseverance, and
so much more
Our entire educational approach is based on this premise, beginning in junior kindergarten and kindergarten.
If the child is the father of the man, then
sowing seeds early will bear a great harvest, indeed.
We are currently enrolling new Junior Kindergarten and Kindergarten students at Calvary for the upcoming school year.
We invite you to share this post with other parents who are looking to sow into their child’s destiny in this way.
