STI/HIV/Hepatitis Program
The STI/HIV/Hepatitis Program (SHHP) administers statewide evidence-based public health services and interventions intended to prevent the transmission of STIs, HIV, and viral hepatitis, and to ensure timely access to quality medical/treatment and supportive social services for those diagnosed with an STI, HIV, or hepatitis.
Vision Statement
SHHP’s vision is for Louisiana to be a place where new HIV, STI, and hepatitis diagnoses are rare, all people have high-quality healthcare and treatment, are free from discrimination, and can achieve their full potential for health and well-being across their lifespans.
Mission Statement
SHHP’s mission is to end the impacts of HIV, STIs, and hepatitis and related health inequities and stigma for all communities in Louisiana.
