Who We Are
The Ministry metamorphosed from Oyo State Environmental Protection Agency (SEPA) into a full-fledged Ministry in 2001. Over the years, the Ministry has gone through various transformations based on the agenda of successive administrations in the State.
Following series of institutional re-organization to meet the yearnings and aspiration of the present Administration, the Ministry was renamed as the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources in August, 2019 because of the merging of the Department of Forestry which was hitherto in the Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources to the ‘Environment Family’.
