Students grouped by age-appropriate grade levels where they will be monitored in a quiet, safe environment to concentrate on completing homework assignments. We call this “homework time.” Regis faculty is present to assist with questions that may arise as well as to ensure that students stay on task. Faculty are present to support what students learned during the school day. Students will be provided with a snack and given the opportunity to participate in outdoor/indoor recreational activities before and after homework time. Pre-K3, Pre-K4 and Kindergarten students will be in structured, age-appropriate activities during "homework" time. The Knight Shift is an extension of The Regis Experience.  Students are supervised by Regis employees.  Extended Afternoon PLUS (+) programs are provided by carefully vetted outside vendors who are managed by The Knight Shift team. Extended Day Programs are offered by registration only. The Sunrise Shift program is available Monday – Friday for extended morning from 7:00 a.m. - 7:30 a.m. The Knight Shift program is available after school until 6:00 p.m. daily. Registration is available by semester or a la carte. Sign up for Extended Afternoon PLUS (+) to further enhance your son's after school experience at Regis! Registration available via the Veracross Parent Portal. Simply login to your parent portal and submit the form for The Knight Shift to alert us to any changes in your family's schedule. All pick-up for The Knight Shift occurs at the front of the school. Please enter the gate from Antoine and pull up to the front of the school. Upon arrival, please text 832-303-8164 with your name and the name of who you are picking up (first and last). The Whispering Pines semi-circular drive is for picking up students who are in after-school Middle School sports. The Knight Shift does not handle Middle School sports dismissal. If a student is not enrolled as a drop-in, they will go to carpool. When carpool is over, they will be sent to The Knight Shift and registered as a drop-in. You can register your student as a drop-in by logging on to the parent portal. Please note that children may not go to The Knight Shift on their own or based on verbal instructions from parents. Emergency Drop-In Rate: $40.00 per day if a student is not registered for The Knight Shift or an Extended Afternoon (+) program. The drop-in rate will apply at the conclusion of carpool, when no cars are left in the carpool line on Whispering Pines. Carpool may end as early as 3:45 p.m. or as late as 3:55 p.m. depending on the number of riders being picked up. Please plan accordingly. If you are a multi-family household with more than one son enrolled in our school across different division levels, please note that the late arrival time will start according to the older student’s division level. All fees invoiced via the Parent Portal monthly. If you are unable to pick up your son by 6:00 p.m., you will be billed $10.00 for every increment of 10 minutes past the designated pick-up time. Please note that the charge is not calculated on a per-minute basis, but rather in increments of 10 minutes. Payment for our Extended Afternoon PLUS (+) program, extended day semester and a-la-carte options, is invoiced according to the parent’s preference. Parents will be asked to indicate their payment option preference during the first week of each semester. Options are to pay in full or to be invoiced in 4 monthly payments. All invoices and registration are by semester. Payments are processed automatically through VC Pay. Drop-in payments: Drop-in fees are invoiced monthly; parents will receive an email no later than the 5th of each month directing them to pay their invoice.  Please note, drop-in fees are NOT automatically scheduled, they must be manually paid via the parent portal. Transactions for Extended Day services are considered final upon full payment. No refunds or exchanges will be issued. By enrolling your child in Extended Day, you understand that this contract reserves a place for your child for the entire semester. We staff Knight Shift according to the number of registrations just prior to the start of school. Unless written notice of withdrawal is provided to the Head of School 10 days before the start of the semester, you are obligated to make the full payment, regardless of whether your child attends or completes the semester. Transactions for Extended Afternoon PLUS (+) services are considered final upon full payment. No refunds or exchanges will be issued. In the event that the minimum enrollment for an after-school class/activity is not met, the class will not be offered. Parents will be contacted and will receive a full refund. A student who withdraws from an enrichment class before the first day of class will receive a full refund less a $60 administrative fee, unless noted otherwise. REFUNDS WILL NOT BE GIVEN AFTER THE FIRST DAY OF CLASS. Yes! The Regis handbook of rules and responsibilities applies to The Knight Shift and The Sunrise Shift. Any currently enrolled Regis student is eligible to register for our Extended Afternoon PLUS (+) program! We welcome individuals of all ages and backgrounds who have an interest in exploring and developing their artistic talents. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced artist, our classes are designed to cater to various skill levels. We believe that creativity knows no bounds and strive to create a diverse and inclusive environment for all participants. A light snack is offered to ensure that students have the energy they need for their activities. We aim to include a variety of choices, taking into consideration dietary restrictions and allergies of the participating students. Students are also welcome to bring their own nutritious snack. Yes! Our Extended Day program is thoughtfully designed to accommodate and engage students in age-appropriate grade levels. We understand the importance of providing a conducive environment where they can focus and complete their homework assignments. Our dedicated staff members closely monitor the students, ensuring they have a quiet and safe space that supports their concentration. We encourage them to take ownership of their work and offer assistance when needed. The Knight Shift program is not simply a place to pass time until pick-up; it is an extension of our commitment to the educational development and well-being of each student. All Extended Afternoon PLUS (+) programs will start the week of August 18 and end the week of November 17. Each class has its own start time and day of the week depending on the age group and school division. Details for each class are available via the registration link. Students registered for a PLUS (+) program, have access to use Knight Shift extended care through to the end of the semester. If The Knight Shift or an Extended Afternoon (+) class is cancelled due to weather-related events or a teacher’s absence, we will schedule make-up classes for the Extended Afternoon (+) class to ensure students do not miss out on the learning experience. Please note that no refunds, full or partial, will be given for cancellations due to weather-related events or a teacher’s absence.
