Is Rasmussen University’s Master of Public Health (MPH) degree online or in person?
All of our MPH program courses are online nationally, with on-the-ground support services available at 18 campuses in Florida, Kansas, Minnesota, North Dakota and Wisconsin. The practicum experiences are not online or on campus; students arrange the organization and location for their own practicum, with support from Rasmussen University.

What’s the difference between a Master of Public Health degree and some related Master’s degrees?
The MPH program
prepares graduates for a wider range of environments (government agencies, health organizations, non-profits, colleges and universities) than other related Master's degrees and focuses on research and data-driven issues that impact entire communities.
Master of Health Administration
graduates typically work in healthcare institutions, focus on the business of healthcare and manage teams of medical and health professionals.
The Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) with a Public Health Specialization
is geared toward medical settings with a combined focus on nursing and public health, serving individuals and families through nursing leadership roles.

Completion time is dependent on transfer credits accepted and the number of courses completed each term.
Tuition for MPH is $229 per credit. Students in all programs must maintain continuous enrollment to remain eligible for the tuition pricing of $229 per credit. A student who withdraws and re-enrolls will be required to pay the tuition price offered at the time of their re-enrollment. If a student needs to retake one or more courses in the degree program, the total tuition and fees will exceed $16,324. MPH estimated tuition and fees breakdown: $12,824 in tuition + $3,500 in fees = $16,324 in estimated tuition and fees.
