Health & Wellness
Regis is deeply committed to fostering the physical, emotional and psychological wellbeing of our community.
We understand the importance of supporting and guiding the health, social, and emotional lives of boys. The Health and Wellness Departments work collaboratively to uphold the values and morals in alignment with the
Five Goals of Sacred Heart education
.
All members of the school community take personal responsibility for health and balance in their lives supported by a school culture that promotes spiritual, intellectual, physical and social-emotional well-being.”
Goal V, Criterion 2
Regis has a registered nurse that staffs the school clinic. The school nurse, faculty and staff are trained in First Aid, CPR and AED use.  The nurse provides care and education to the students, faculty, staff and parents regarding health and safety.  The nurse is responsible for maintaining immunization records, performing health screenings, providing care for injuries and illness, assisting parents and children coping with chronic illness, administering medications as needed and tracking infectious outbreaks.  Our goal is for students to be able to maximize their time in school in a safe and healthy manner.  Regis has adopted
Magnus Health System
for managing all our health records.

Social-emotional learning gives students the tools to excel inside and outside of the classroom. Character education is implemented in all grade levels, Pre-K3 through Eighth grade. Topics covered include empathy, leadership, service and community-building, and wise decision-making and lessons are rooted in the Five Goals of Sacred Heart Education.
The social emotional curriculum reinforces skills learned in character education and introduces concepts like growth mindset, mindfulness, coping strategies, resilience and time management to our middle school students.
We are so grateful for the opportunity to come together during our Parent Education Speaking Events, during which time we are committed to educating, empowering, and committing to the building and strengthening of our community. Most recently, we hosted Dr. Crystal Collier, PhD, LPC-S, who spoke about the development of boys, specifically shedding light on the risky behaviors they are most likely to engage in and providing parents with useful tools to keep them safe. We will reach out soon with information regarding upcoming Parent Education Speakers. Parents have access to the Counselor’s Corner located on the parent portal where resources regarding various subjects are posted throughout the school year.
The learning support team collaborates with parents, faculty, and psychologists to create and administer individual plans that promote academic competence, self-awareness, self-regulation, and executive functioning skills. Regis is committed to full partnership with families and clinicians to ensure students’ needs are met.
