If
Typhoon Signal No. 1 or No. 3
is hoisted
All classes and examinations will continue as scheduled. All offices will remain open.
If Typhoon No. 8 Signal or above/Extreme condition/Pre-Typhoon No. 8 Special Announcement* is issued

At or before 7:00 a.m.
All classes/examinations will be cancelled.
Campus and Offices will remain closed.
During Campus/Office opening hours
Classes should be cancelled immediately, and students should leave as soon as practicable.
Examinations in progress should continue except for situations which endanger students and warrant immediate termination of the examinations as determined by the Vice-President.
Offices will close immediately. Campus remains open until Typhoon Signal No 8 or above is issued.
*Although a Pre-Typhoon No. 8 Special Announcement may be issued earlier, the above arrangements remain in effect until the Special Announcement comes into force (normally two hours before Typhoon No. 8 is hoisted).

7:01 a.m. - 12:00 noon
All classes and examinations commencing from 2:00 pm onward will be held as scheduled.
Campus and Offices will open 2 hours after the Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above is lowered / Extreme Condition is cancelled.
12:01 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.
All classes and examinations commencing from 6:00 pm onward will be held as scheduled.
Campus and Offices will open 2 hours after the Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above is lowered / Extreme Condition is cancelled.
2:01 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
All classes and examinations commencing from 6:00 pm onward will be held as scheduled.
Campus will open 2 hours after the Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above is lowered / Extreme Condition is cancelled.
Offices will remain closed.
Staff members with emergency / evening duties are required to report duties within 2 hours after the Typhoon Signal No.8 or above is lowered/Extreme Condition is cancelled.
On or after 4:01 p.m.
All classes and examinations will be cancelled.
Campus and Offices will remain closed.
Announcements made by the Education Bureau relating to the suspension of classes for schools only apply to secondary school students studying in the Applied Learning (ApL) courses offered by UOWCHK.
