Elite NCC-University Corps unit of GIETU
About NCC Unit in GIET University:
The National Cadel Crops is the Indian Military Cadet Corps with its Headquarters at New Delhi. It is open to school and college students voluntarily. NCC also recruits cadets from high schools, colleges, and universities all over Indian. The officers and cadets have no liability for active military service once they complete their course. But NCC cadets are given more preference over normal candidates during selection for military services. Our University besides, building up professionals for the hi-tech world, has also decided to incorporate this initiative. This is to engage the interested students to enrol in the training if they wish to apply for military service in the future or train themselves as NCC cadets. The training period of NCC is three years, and the cadets have to pass two exams that is ‘B’ and ‘C’ certificates. ‘C’ certificate holders can join the Indian Army without the written exam and even have the opportunity to join SSB, CRPF, ITBP, BSF, CISF, and also other private companies like Reliance Ambuja Group, Tata Birla, Infosys, and other MNC prefer Cadets for different jobs.
We aim to develop a personality, comradeship, discipline, leadership, secular outlook, a spirit of exploration, sportsmanship, and ideals of selfless service among the nation’s youth. We also have the vision to create a human resource of organised, trained and motivated individuals. This program will enable them to teach leadership in all walks of life. It will also enable the individuals to always be available for the nation’s service.
GIET aspires to organise various social-cultural, awareness and environmental programs. These programs will further add to the purpose of this training.

Work hard and without fuss
Make no excuses and tell no lies
Aims of NCC:
To develop character, courage, comradeship, discipline, leadership, secular outlook, a spirit of adventure and sportsmanship and the ideals of selfless service among the youth to make them valuable citizens.
To create a human resource of organised, trained and motivated youth to provide leadership in all walks of life.
To provide a suitable environment for youth to take up careers in Armed Forces and always be available for the nation’s service.
Oath of NCC:
“
I do hereby solemnly promise that I will serve by motherland most truly and loyalty and that, I will abide by the rules and regulations of the National Cadet Crops. Further under the command and control of my commanding officer I will participate in every camp most sincerely and wholeheartedly.”
NCC Pledge:
“We, the cadet of the National cadet Crops, do solemnly pledge that we shall always uphold the unity of India. We resolve to be a disciplined and responsible citizen of our nation. We shall undertake positive community service in the spirit of selflessness and concern for our fellow beings.”
NCC Flag
NCC Flag contains NCC Crest in gold in the middle, with letters ‘NCC’ encircled by a wreath of seventeen lotuses with a background in Red, Blue and Light Blue. Red depicts the Army, Deep Blue depicts the Navy, and Light Blue depicts the Air Force. The seventeen lotuses represent the 17 State Directorates. “Unity of Discipline is written at the bottom of the NCC Flag”.
GIET university on NCC:
This NCC unit is installed on the campus to establish the exercise of the values insisted upon as per the goals and objectives of our institution. The university aims to create an efficient space with multiple objectives to prepare students for the future. However, NCC is one of the factors that would ensure us to attain our goal extensively. We have aimed to groom our students to attain many benefits later in life.
Benefits of NCC inclining to our goals:
NCC develops the interpersonal skills of the students.
Develops positive qualities of self-discipline and build their problem-solving skills.
Apart from the personality development skills, it also broadens the scope of attaining a secured career.
It enables the individuals to choose from the different domains:
To serve our country by joining military forces: Indian Army, Indian Navy, Indian Air Force.
To serve the country’s economy by accomplishing to join the Public Sectors as well as the private sectors.
Moreover, our university has prioritised students overall growth and development. We have a vision for them to complete the training to attain their certificates after appearing for the tests conducted. The certificates are provided in 3 categories, which are:
Grade A- Cadets obtaining 80% marks or above.
Grade B- Cadets obtaining 65% marks and above but below 80%.
Grade C- Cadets obtaining 50% marks and above but below 65%.
The cadets must obtain more than 45% marks on each paper and 50% aggregate marks to pass the examinations.

About NCC Unit in GIET University:
