Newark Academy Names Andy Schneider as its Next CFO

Head of School Tom Ashburn has appointed Andy Schneider as Newark Academy's next Chief Financial Officer, effective July 1, 2026.
Andy currently serves as Associate Head of School for Finance & Operations and Chief Financial Officer at The Masters School in Dobbs Ferry, New York, a role he has held since 2022. Prior to that, he was CFO at The Peck School in Morristown, New Jersey, from 2015–2022. He also worked as a consultant for PwC for several years, supporting multi-national finance teams around the world.
Andy began his career as an English Teacher, Admissions Officer, and Varsity Crew Coach at The Kent School in Connecticut. He has a B.A. from Rutgers University, an M.A. from Middlebury College’s Bread Loaf School of English, and an MBA from George Washington University. Outside of school life, Andy is a husband, father of three, Yankees season ticket holder, self-proclaimed below-average triathlete, and proud resident of Morristown, New Jersey.
"I could not be more excited to join the Newark Academy community at this exciting time in the school's long and storied history,” Andy says. “I have interacted with the school many times over the years, attending professional development sessions and dropping my children off for summer programs, and I have always admired both the campus and the culture. I look forward to becoming a part of this special community in the coming months and doing great work with new colleagues in the years ahead."
